The Kröpelin Gate is one of the former 22 city gates of the medieval city fortification of Rostock. The Gothic gate was first mentioned in 1280. It originally consisted of 2 floors and was extended to its current height of 54 meters in the 15th century. Since May 2005, the Rostock History Workshop has been using the gate for exhibitions.
